Connaught Place: The Heartbeat of Delhi
Connaught Place, or CP as most people call it, is truly the heart of New Delhi and a favorite spot for youngsters. It’s a place where shopping, food, culture, and city vibes all come together.

One of the most famous markets here is Palika Bazaar, known for affordable shopping and a huge variety of products. Just nearby is the lively Janpath Market, a great place to pick up trendy clothes and accessories. Behind Janpath, I personally love a small shop that sells really cute short kurtis. Right next to it, there’s a small stall with beautiful earrings and even a bookstall that always catches my eye.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
Agrasen ki Baoli
This ancient stepwell, hidden between modern buildings, is a fascinating piece of history. Its stone arches and deep stairway make it a popular spot for history lovers, photographers, and even filmmakers.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
Just a few minutes from CP, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of Delhi’s most visited spiritual sites. Its golden dome and peaceful sarovar create a calming atmosphere, offering a break from the city’s hustle.
Jantar Mantar
A short walk from CP, Jantar Mantar is a centuries-old astronomical observatory. The giant instruments built here were once used to study the stars and are still admired for their unique design. For those interested in history and art, the National Museum is a must-visit there itself. It houses artifacts from ancient to modern times, giving visitors a glimpse into India’s rich cultural heritage.

Connaught Place is a place that never loses its charm. Whether you are here for shopping, exploring history, enjoying food, or just soaking in the city vibes, CP has something for everyone. Its energy is contagious, its streets are full of stories, and its mix of modern and traditional makes it truly unique.
